Matthew Edmonds, the winner of the Wales marathon 2012 and the new record holder has confirmed he will return to attempt to become the first ever athlete to defend the Wales Marathon title successfully.
After breaking the course record last year and sending the Grandstands into a frenzy, Matt dropped to his knee and proposed to Vicky. They are to be married in June this year.

So at 2 pm today the Long Course weekend will open for entries for the 4th year.
Every year this event has grown and grown and in 2012 we saw 2700 athletes and over 8000 supporters come to Tenby for a fantastic weekend of sport and fun.
In 2013, the event will open with our Taff Kids race on Friday, before the start of the Wales Swim on the North Beach.
Saturday will see the Wales Sportive offer 112, 70 and 42 mile options [...]
